Hello to everyone from the Station Bansko Snack Bar & Cafe Team!

Welcome to our brand new website and our very first blog post from sunny Bansko. Our regular posts will keep you updated about our exciting summer & winter here at Station Bansko as well as about all the great events and activities that Bansko has to offer!

HOW IT ALL STARTED

Station Bansko Snack Bar & Cafe is a project that came alive from the Greek family Tsakiris back in 2018. For the record, the Tsakiris family were professional skiers who participated in 8 Olympic Games from Calgary in 1988 to Sochi in 2014. The family runs one of the most popular ski shops in Bansko since 2008, being well known for their high quality of rental equipment and outstanding friendly customer service (check our sister website www.tsakirisski.com).

So back in 2018, after a decade of running the ski shop, the family had  a dream. With the Bansko winter being so busy, eating fast food on the go has become a necessity for all of us. So the family decided it would be great to have a place of their own to get authentic Greek food and really just a place to hangout after work and enjoy some drinks at the end of another busy day.

CAREFULLY SELECTED MENU

So from very small beginnings it quickly became clear that both visitors and locals really enjoyed the combination of high quality food imported from the family’s hometown of Drama in Greece and the unique friendly Greek atmosphere that today Station has become famous for.

Today Station Bansko offers many food options, from our legendary Greek gyros and souvlaki, tasty fresh sandwiches and crepes and healthy salads all made with the highest quality ingredients. This summer we have added traditional Greek calamari, fried crab claws and a selection of homemade pizzas. The family likes to try every new dish before it is put on the menu to ensure its quality and to feel each dish is something they would serve in their own home.

FOOD DELIVERY BANSKO

This past winter of course came with its challenges so Station Bansko began offering home delivery of our delicious food as well as take away. We really wanted people to still enjoy their favourite Greek dishes along with our tasty coffee. Soon we extended our deliveries to not only Bansko, but also the neighbouring areas of Razlog, Pirin Golf, Banya and Dobrinishte.

 

NOW OPEN FOR THE SUMMER!

 
From the popularity of Station Bansko in the winter, it became clear thanks to our many customers here in Bansko and beyond that we should open for this Summer. So, here we are in our first summer in Bansko! Well it has been amazing, from those incredible nights during the Euros to this balmy hot weather. Those ice cold beers have really been popular along with our authentic Greek dishes. Of course, there is still a lot more to come this summer and looking back it’s sometimes hard to imagine that time back in 2018, when the Tsakiris family had just a small idea!
